Different location technology needs of security personnel have been identifiedas a function of specific operational contexts. Pole Star has developed tailor-made solutions for each of these.

Satisfying a wide range of specifications

Different operational contexts and their specific solutions:

  • Practice: training of security/rescue teams is crucial for the safety of the teams themselves and to help save lives. Police or firefighting department training centers gain genuine added value by equipping practice areas with an indoor and outdoor location system. Being able to visualize the positions of trainees in action gives the trainer an invaluable overview of the drill. The capacity to repeat the drills with trainees helps the trainer who can highlight areas for improvement and positioning mistakes with real-time explanations. NAO Campus is especially suited to this type of usage.
  • Critical sites: subways, tunnels, shopping centers, and more generally buildings used by the public. Operations such as a fire in an underground parking lot require the use of a location infrastructure along with more traditional security systems such as fire detectors and smoke removal systems. NAO Campus satisfies these requirements.
  • Surveillance of high security buildings(Government buildings, Town halls, Industrial sites): NAO Campus can be used in applications to visualize surveillance staff both in inside buildings and outdoors, memorize their movement and validate inspections in certain zones.
  • Sites which are not equipped with location technology infrastructure: Under the aegis of its R&D activities, Pole Star has developed a new generation « tactical » location system which can be deployed as needed in the intervention area. The prototypes already developed have demonstrated the potential and feasibility of this type of product.
