Tested in the course of the
TRANSCONTROL project to enhance the safety of hazardous materials
transportation, the location solution allows tracking very precisely the
convoys in the tunnels to ensure safety and to improve if needed the conditions
of emergency interventions.
The solution implemented
can also secure the people needing to intervene in the tunnels for maintenance
tasks or relief in all types of tunnels such as metro or railway tunnels for
example.
This new deployment
demonstrates the high added-value of the Indoor location solutions developed by
Pole Star for professional use and reinforces its leading position.
Precise
location, reliable and continuous has unmistakably become an important issue to
answer the new challenges of urban mobility. Fewer cars, more travel by
bicycle, subway, bus, tram and foot. The urban mobility also requires an easy
